Ever a fan of showcasing our members work, and that of British filmmakers, we saw the introduction of TweetFest Film Festival back 5 years ago and have been delighted with its growth ever since. From our earliest festival where we showed just 6 brilliant shorts, all the way through to last year where we had two venues, and 48 short films in Official Selection or Competition, our humble film festival has really grown.

This year we are seeing a wonderful selection of entries already, and are thrilled that this will be our fifth year going – not to mention our second year where we include the F-Rated category and shown off female filmmaking at its best.

Our winners and festival entrants have gone on to do so many incredible things; be nominated in many other festivals and win so many awards; receive distribution; and some have had their work shown on mainstream channels such as Amazon. It’s a truly wonderful experience for us to be a part of their filmmaking journey.

Our remit continues to be to share and highlight the great work our filmmakers do, as well as offer an affordable place for filmmakers to meet some of the industry’s best. With judges from BBC, Variety, film production companies like Hat Trick Productions, well-known Casting Directors, and award winning Directors and Writers, we boast a pretty awesome selection of judges who see our In Competition shorts.
