TWEETUPS

Networking for filmmaking & acting industry professionals

About Tweetups

Tweetups are a networking night for entertainment professionals in film, TV theatre and more. We welcome everyone from established industry professionals through to newbies. Come and join us.

We’ve been hosting Tweetups since 2010, and as far as we know, we’re the longest-running free networking organisation for actors and filmmakers still going strong in London. But if you know of another (though surely not as cool as ours!), let us know! We’d love for you to join us—just sign up and come be part of the coolest film club around.

How we started

It all started when Angela Peters invited her industry buddies along to have drinks and chat all things film and TV. Then she met Ben, who had founded the LA Actors Tweetup, and the rest is history. They joined forces, and the networking events officially became UK Actors Tweetup.

Fast forward to 2025 and the Tweetups are still going strong, as well as casting director, agent and industry talks; attending job fairs; combined socials with other organisations; hosting workshops; and the ever-growing, BIFA qualifying TweetFest Film Festival.

Creating opportunities

The Tweetups started for one reason – to bring people together and help them make more creative projects than they could by themselves. At the very least, it’s a safe space to share your thoughts, experiences, learn about the industry, and ponder what’s next.

Sometimes we need a place to enjoy other filmmakers’ and actors’ company. Why not come and meet us and see what you think. After all, networking doesn’t cost anything.

Industry professional talks

We bring the best in the business to you to share their wealth of experience and afford you the chance to ask those questions you never dreamed of asking out loud before.

And it’s all offered at the most reasonable prices you’ll find in this industry. We don’t think filmmakers and actors should ever be taken advantage of – so our networking is always free, and our talks don’t cost more than a few pints.
