BBC Casting Director Emma Sylvester joins us

MEET THE LOVELIEST CASTING DIRECTOR IN SHOWBIZ, EMMA SYLVESTER

We are thrilled to announce that first ever daytime Tweetup, with the option for the parents among us to bring their babies if they want to – don’t worry you don’t have to steal a baby to come. Anyone is welcome. This is just going to be a baby friendly session in order for new parents to be included!

We are welcoming BBC Casting Director Emma to chat about her experiences over the last 10 years.

MORE ABOUT EMMA:

Emma Sylvester began her career in casting doing favours for her friends, casting independent short films, music videos and corporate gigs. An actor herself at the time she found herself getting immersed in the work and launching a new career path which combined her love for actors and her training as one. She went on to cast short film ‘The Snow Maze’ with RSA films (Ridley Scott Associates) which has since won best UK short at the London Film Festival, and then went on to assist renowned casting director Carolyn McLeod on a series of independent feature films and projects for Netflix.

Emma has now been working in house at the BBC in its continuing drama department for the past 5 years. Starting as an assistant across all shows and as a Casting Director on Father Brown, Casualty & Doctors.

Emma is currently on maternity leave so we are making this a baby and toddler friendly event. You’re welcome to bring babes in arms, or toddlers who are able to mill around without too much disruption for the hour talk (ha ha, we are parents – we know how ridiculous that last part of the statement sounded).

Because this is a private talk, the tickets will be capped so we don’t have too many guests and so we can ensure the talk stays intimate and personal.

TICKETS: book here on Eventbrite

DATE: Tues 11th October, in Soho

TIME: 1.15pm arrival for 1.30pm hour long talk (please arrive early) with networking and mingling after

If you’re in the Camden Borough, please reach out and let us know as we keep a few tickets available for our events for actors from this borough. We would welcome you to attend the event for free.

Any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Tweetup team. We can’t wait to see you there!
